Villechaize Faces Gun Charge

Diminutive actor Herve Villechaize, the former Ricardo Montalban sidekick Tattoo on the “Fantasy Island” TV series, was arrested today for carrying a stolen, concealed handgun, Burbank police said.

Police said the loaded .38-caliber revolver was found in his handbag when officers were called to St. Joseph Medical Center by employees who said Villechaize was creating a disturbance. The actor remained in the city jail in lieu of $1,000 bail for about six hours and faces courtroom arraignment in about two weeks, police said.
