The former top Southern California official in the U.S. Postal Inspection Service pleaded guilty to falsifying expense records. Edward F. Schiebert Jr., 36, faces a possible one year in prison and a $500 fine when sentenced June 14 by U.S. District Judge William P. Gray. Schiebert resigned as chief postal inspector in Los Angeles six months ago.
