Cal State Slayer Given 3 Years

Twenty-one-year-old Minh Van Lam was sentenced today to three years in state prison for the involuntary manslaughter of Cal State Fullerton physics professor Edward Cooperman last October. Orange County Superior Court Judge Richard Beacom denied Lam’s request for probation and sentenced him after an emotional three-hour hearing.
