‘Sex Tapes’ Attorney Sentenced

Beverly Hills attorney Robert K. Steinberg pleaded no contest today to one count of criminal contempt for having refused to answer any questions in court dealing with the purported Vicki Morgan “sex tapes.”
Steinberg, who had attracted national attention in 1983 when he announced he had obtained videotapes showing sadomasochistic sex parties involving Morgan and Reagan Administration appointees, never produced the tapes. Upon his plea in Beverly Hills Municipal Court, he was given a six-month suspended sentence and fined $1,190.
