Slaten Among Four From CSUN Selected on All-America Teams

Four members of the CSUN softball team have been selected to the 1985 NCAA Division II All-America teams.
Pitcher Kathy Slaten, Michey McAnany (third base), and Barbara Jordan (outfield) were selected to the first team.
Catcher Stacy Lim was picked to the second team.
Slaten, a junior, is making her third consecutive appearance on the All-America squad. This season, she was 38-10 with an 0.20 earned run average. She had 481 strikeouts in 374 innings and tossed five no-hitters and 28 shutouts.
McAnany, a senior, is also a repeat All-American. She hit .227 with a team-leading 21 runs batted in.
Jordan, a sophomore, is a first-time selection and was voted Most Valuable Player in the California Collegiate Athletic Association.
