Crook missed the ultimate irony. Two weeks before the appearance of his article, in which CIA director Casey denounced ABC for inadequate investigation of its Rewald-CIA story, the same CIA director Casey persuaded the U.S. Supreme Court that the CIA could immunize itself from the Freedom of Information Act by merely classifying requested information as secret.
Talk about having your cake and eating it, too.
