peculiar people

“People” may be “peculiar,” but it is shocking to find a tortoise and iguana thus described (“peculiar pets”) in your Home magazine of April 14 (“A Bit of Whimsy Produces ‘Restful Comfort’ ”) . These--and all animals--are marvels of nature and should be written about with admiration and understanding to ensure their survival in our world. Thank you.
