Local News in Brief : Grass Fire in Mission Hills Briefly Threatens 25 Houses

Athree-acre grass fire threatened about 25 houses in Mission Hills Monday, but firefighters kept the flames from reaching the buildings.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire was under investigation, a Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman said. The blaze broke out near the intersection of Laurel Canyon Boulevard and Hubbard Street and burned for 38 minutes until it was extinguished by more than 50 firefighters from nine companies and two helicopters, the spokesman said.
