Proposed Prison Site in L.A.

We are one of the many major businesses located in the vicinity of the proposed prison, at Santa Fe Avenue and 12th Street.
As a master distributor of wholesale beauty and barber supplies, we have many customers who come to our office and warehouse to pick up orders. We want to voice opposition to the location of the proposed prison, since our customers would find it less desirable to travel to a part of the city that had such a facility close by. This situation could result in our losing valuable, and longstanding accounts, and would certainly cut into our profits.
Our employees have also voiced considerable concern at working in such close proximity to a prison.
Surely, there are less populated areas of Los Angeles that could accommodate a correctional facility.
