‘Sparing the Rod’

I am pleased to know that The Times supports a state law against corporal punishment (May 20), “Sparing the Rod.”
Corporal punishment by the teacher will make the student even more angry and it might make the student even more disobedient. I truly hope that this measure will be passed.
