Philippine prosecutors in the Benigno S. Aquino Jr. assassination trial announced that they will rest their case, confident that the former armed forces chief, Gen. Fabian C. Ver, and 25 other defendants will be convicted. The court gave prosecutors 11 days to submit exhibits and told the defense to start calling witnesses June 17.
