Three people escaped injury when their Mission Hills home was hit by fire just after noon Monday, the San Diego Fire Department reported.
The blaze at 3926 Eagle St. started in the garage and was spreading into the home when firefighters arrived. Three occupants, including an 87-year-old woman, were led out of the house by a search-and-rescue team. Damage to the house and contents was estimated at $25,000, a Fire Department spokesman said.
