ORANGE, Calif. — Patti Frustaci, smiling shyly and waving a bouquet of red roses, today left the hospital where she gave birth to septuplets, the surviving five of which remained in critical condition at an adjacent facility.
“I appreciate it. I appreciate it,” the 30-year-old schoolteacher told a throng of reporters and hospital workers who lined the sidewalk outside St. Joseph’s Hospital. Asked what she wants to do when she gets home, she smilingly replied, “Rest.”
