Girl, 3, Only Bruised After Six-Story Fall

MIAMI — A 3-year-old girl suffered only bruises when she fell six stories from the balcony of an apartment building, her mother says.
Kristy Abad sneaked onto the balcony when left alone for a moment and slipped through the bars Monday afternoon. The child landed on a narrow strip of grass. She was listed in good condition today at Jackson Memorial Hospital. “There is absolutely nothing that could have saved her but God’s help,” said her mother, Laura Schwartz, 21.
