Parking Policy Change Denied

HERMOSA BEACH — The City Council unanimously denied a request by several residents to allow parking on the north side of 27th Street between Morningside Drive and Manhattan Avenue. The council voted last week to continue the current policy of parking only on the south side. Several residents had requested the change with the hope that the narrower roadway created by parking on both sides of the street would slow speeders and discourage excessive through traffic.
