Rough Crossing Concerns Resident
As a Downey resident since 1955, I am proud to reside in this city. It is clean, has a nice City Hall, a strong police force and now our city has a new hotel on Firestone Boulevard.
But life isn’t perfect. I have called City Hall repeatedly to notify them about the railroad crossing on Lakewood Boulevard near Firestone. The gaps between the rails and the road are approximately 10 inches wide, and if you have to cross the rail track several times a day, it hurts your car. I don’t care whose responsibility it is; I only want that fixed, as I am paying taxes for roads.
