Fullerton Defeats USIU in Opener

The Cal State Fullerton women’s volleyball team opened the season with a 18-16, 6-15, 6-15, 16-14, 15-7 victory over U.S. International University on Wednesday night in Titan Gym.

Outside hitters Joan McGhee, a senior, and Wendy Knapp, a sophomore, combined for 25 kills to lead the Titans. The loss was the second straight for the Gulls (3-2).

Fullerton travels this weekend to the Northwest Tournament at Idaho.
