The Los Angeles Scandals women’s football team will hold tryouts today and Sunday at Valley College, beginning at 9 a.m.
The Scandals, who have about 30 players on the roster, are hoping to expand the team to 45. Women between the ages of 18 and 35 are invited, which will test speed and agility.
Teresa Ray, the Scandals’ general manager, said Friday that the team has been admitted to the National Women’s Football League. Ray and Jill Sturdivant, the Scandals’ president, will meet with league officials in Ohio in late October to discuss a 1986 schedule.
