light my fire

I look forward to Home and Miv Schaaf’s column, so the July 7 issue with Bevis Hillier’s article, “Junk-Mail Junkie,” was a double delight. If readers would like to receive mailboxes full of junk mail, they should order just one thing through the mail. Suddenly, they will become known to advertisers everywhere. For those who mail-ordered something without realizing the ramifications, here is another solution:
Certainly, people know that
companies have to advertise
But the piles of junk mail give rise
to their ire.
As for me, I save every little
piece I can get
For how else could I
possibly start the fire.
