The FBI joined police in Providence, R.I., in the search for two masked thieves who stole more than $1 million from a vault after overpowering the only guard on duty at the Brink’s Armored Car building. “There’s a possibility” a former employee could have been involved in the robbery, said Brink’s official Thomas Donovan. Auditors were working to determine the exact amount stolen.
