Wilma Rudolph, who won gold medals in the 100- and 200-meter dashes and the 400-meter relay at the 1960 Rome Olympics, was one of six foreign and more than 50 Italian athletes honored at a spectacular ceremony in Rome’s Olympic sports complex marking the 25th anniversary of the Rome Games.
