SCC Earns First Win by Beating Whittier

The Southern California College men’s soccer team earned its first victory of the season Wednesday, beating Whittier College, 1-0, in a nonconference match at SCC.
The Vanguards’ Joel Weidman scored the only goal of the match on an assist by Greg Pollar with 10 minutes elapsed in the first half. The Vanguards are 1-2.
