Roy McCord has been named director of new product development for Gish Biomedical in Santa Ana. McCord, 37, had been president for three years of VTI, Inc., a Fountain Valley-based manufacturer of ophthalmic lasers that Gish acquired in June. He became a project scientist at the Institutes for Radiation Research in Munich in 1974, and eventually became director of laser research there.
Gish Biomedical produces disposable medical products and laser surgical equipment.
