A three-day search for boxer Aaron Pryor has proved fuitless, said an attorney who was asked by the International Boxing Federation to track down the junior welterweight champion and offer him help with any drug problems he may have.
“The reports that I get tell me different things,” said attorney Alvin Goodman, who is concentrating his search in the drug-ridden streets of the Liberty City section of Miami.
“People in the area swore to me Friday that they saw him Thursday, the 12th. But I went down there and I couldn’t find him,” he said.
The Miami Herald recently quoted Pryor as saying he has visited cocaine free-basing houses in Liberty City but only for social reasons. The Herald also quoted Pryor, who has won 36 consecutive bouts by knockout, as admitting he has used drugs.
