Tuition Riot in Manila

MANILA — University security guards, ducking rocks and homemade bombs, used firearms, batons and water cannons Wednesday to quell a protest by about 200 Philippine students seeking a cut in tuition fees, police said. A spokesman said there were no serious injuries in the fracas at Feati University in central Manila.
