The City Council selected Dan Horenberger of Brass Ring Entertainment to run the pier carrousel, consolidating operations under a single contractor.
Horenberger will receive a two-year contract. He will be reimbursed for salaries and expenses, a maximum weekly amount not to exceed $600. The city will receive revenue from the carrousel operations and the sale of commemorative items.
In the past year, the city has renovated the historic carrousel and has started renting it for private functions.
