SEATTLE — Jeff Scott, director of player development for the Seattle Mariners the past two seasons, has announced his resignation from the American League baseball club.
Scott, 31, a protege of former Mariner General Manager Hal Keller, reportedly had serious differences of opinion with owner George Argyros.
“I had no basic philosophical differences with (team president) Chuck Armstrong,” Scott said. “With George? Who knows? That was always a day-to-day thing. I just felt it was best to make a move now.”
