A 7-year-old North Hollywood boy was killed Sunday after he apparently was unable to climb off an electronically activated garage gate and was crushed between the gate and a wall, police said.
The boy, who was not identified, climbed onto the gate about 3:30 p.m. as it was moving, but he was not able to jump off before the gate moved into a five-inch opening in the wall of an underground garage in the 6300 block of Fulton, Sgt. John Stilo said.
The boy was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
