Schabarum View on Aids

I’m keeping Supervisor Schabarum’s preposterous letter on AIDS in my 1986-87 file. When Los Angeles’ costs are then about $20 to $60 million to cope with this epidemic, I shall remind the good citizens of Los Angeles that as long ago as September, 1985, Schabarum considered “Mother’s Handy Sex Guide” to be nothing but “hard-core pornographic trash.”
