JERUSALEM — A 5-year-old Arab boy shot Sunday by an Israeli patrol in the occupied Gaza Strip has died of his wounds, military sources said Monday.
Palestinian sources identified the boy as Aymen Jundiye of Gaza and said he died Sunday night. Military sources said he died in Soroka Hospital in Beersheba.
An Israeli patrol opened fire on a car driven by the victim’s father when it failed to stop at a roadblock, the military sources said. The boy’s father was also wounded in the incident.
An army investigation found that the patrol followed military regulations, the sources said.
