The City Council has approved a recommendation by Councilman Archie Snow to consider establishing committees that would make recommendations to the council on issues such as waste management, housing, energy, recreation and transportation. The council directed City Manager Timothy Casey to study the idea and develop a list of possible committees.
Under Snow’s proposal, two council members would be appointed to each committee and Mayor Barbara Doerr would serve as an ex officio member of all the committees.
