Money Not Only Talks, It Shouts

Shades of San Marino! Your article on the growing Asian community in Arcadia (Sept. 19) reminds me of past articles about San Marino and the influx of Chinese into that city.
Arcadia and San Marino--like many cities surrounding Pasadena--chose to be Caucasian and/or WASP for a long time. So, what happened? Who sold homes to Asians? You’re right! Their Caucasian/WASP neighbors and friends; they wanted cash and the Asians had it and have it. How money shouts.
So, one by one, white cities surrounding Pasadena are changing. It’s never too late. Welcome.
