Local News in Brief : Police Identify Victim of Van Nuys Slaying

Aman found stabbed to death on a Van Nuys sidewalk last weekend was identified Wednesday as Augustine Quinonez Ladera, Los Angeles police reported.
Ladera, 18, of Van Nuys, was found early Saturday morning in the 14500 block of Blythe Street, the apparent victim of a robbery, Detective Mel Arnold said. Ladera had been stabbed several times in the chest.
Ladera had been reported missing by a relative Friday night. His body was identified Wednesday by a brother, Arnold said.
