Iran Car Bomb Kills 1

TEHRAN — A car bomb blast Wednesday in central Tehran killed one person and wounded several, Tehran radio reported. The device went off in an area where thousands were preparing marches to mark the ninth day of Shia Muslim Ashoura ceremonies, being held to mourn the death in AD 680 of the Prophet Mohammed’s grandson Hossein.
