Spriggs Agrees to New Contract With Lakers

PALM DESERT — Veteran Laker forward Larry Spriggs agreed to a new contract Saturday night, a few hours after arriving at training camp with agent Fred Slaughter.
The Lakers said the contract probably would be signed Monday. Spriggs, the last of six Laker free agents, earned $90,000 last season and was seeking a two-year guaranteed contract with a raise.
