DWI Corp., OTEC Corp. Make Merger Plans

DWI Corp. of Newport Beach and OTEC Corp. of San Francisco have tentatively reached an agreement to merge their operations, the companies announced Friday. No details were released and company officials declined to comment on the deal which is still subject to shareholder approval.
DWI is an industrial design and engineering company whose major accounts include General Motors, McDonnell Douglas and Fujitsu. OTEC Corp. is a sales and development company with offices in Albuquerque, N.M., Hong Kong, Singapore, Manila and Kuala Lumper.
