Police in Orange and Alhambra have confiscated 303 illegal blowguns and cited four people for making or selling them, Orange police said Friday.
Investigators of the Orange Police Department vice unit confiscated 103 blowguns at Omega File Inc, 1095 N. Main St., Thursday, Sgt. John Higley said. The blowguns, which shoot darts, have a total retail value of $5,000, he said.
Cited on Misdemeanor
Employees Fred Ouweleen, 33, of Fullerton and Mary Van Sickle, 42, of Costa Mesa were cited on the misdemeanor charge and released, Higley said.
With information from that store, Orange and Alhambra police obtained a search warrant for Pacific Miniatures, 817 S. Palm Ave., Alhambra, and confiscated about 200 blowguns, in various stages of assembly, Higley said.
Two employees were cited in Alhambra and released, but their names were not available.
