Valley College Loses Basketball Opener

Valley College got off to a slow start Friday night and lost its season-opener to Glendale, 97-65, in basketball.
Monarchs forward Mario Lopez and guard Erik Hardin each had 11 points. Forward Fred Louis had 10. Glendale’s leading scorer was forward John Hoffman, who had 28, followed by guard Bryant Capp with 19.
