India Gas Leak Routs Hundreds

NEW DELHI — A cloud of nontoxic gas leaked from a fertilizer plant and floated over a congested area of the Indian capital today, sending hundreds of terrified residents fleeing in panic just one day after the first anniversary of the gas leak at the Union Carbide plant in Bhopal that killed more than 2,000 people.
The United News of India news agency reported that two people were hospitalized in serious condition today and that more than 200 others were released from hospitals.
