San Diego police vice officers Wednesday said they had broken up a major prostitution and call girl ring allegedly based at the Dolphin Motel on Garrison Street in Point Loma.
A police spokeswoman said 20 to 30 female prostitutes were operating out of the motel, which had been under investigation for two months.
“The service was being provided by the owner and employees of the motel,” the spokeswoman said. “The customers were charged $100 or more per hour.”
Search warrants were served at the motel Wednesday morning and police arrested three men on suspicion of pimping and pandering. Arrested were the motel owner, Horace Murdock, 56; Roy Floyd Martin, 29, and Richard Windsor, 35, all of San Diego. The spokeswoman said additional arrests were expected.
