Child Causes Fire: A 2-year-old child playing with a cigarette lighter in a closet caused a fire Friday morning at a residence at 1792 S. Carnelian St., Fire Investigator Mike Doty said. Damage was estimated at $6,000 to the house and contents. The blaze was controlled within 20 minutes. There were no injuries.
