Just a word of thanks for Sam Hall Kaplan’s kind and perceptive column (“More Whales to make PDC Friendlier,” Nov. 4), wherein he discussed “West Hollywood’s uncommon sensitivity to planning issues.”
The City Council and I understand the importance of planning issues to the quality of life of our residents. Whether on issues of street widening, culs-de-sac, open spaces, affordable housing or urban density, we are committed to building a city that works. We intend to create an “urban village” that meets the myriad human needs of our residents, rather than bowing to the sometimes conflicting concerns of outside interests.
