A 21-year-old California State University, Northridge, student died Saturday afternoon from injuries suffered in a traffic accident early Friday that also killed her sister and another woman.
Aida Salazar of Reseda died of head injuries at 4:25 p.m. Saturday, a Northridge Hospital Medical Center spokeswoman said.
She had been in critical condition for more than 36 hours after the crash, in which police said a car driven by her sister, 22-year-old Anne Salazar, ran a red light and was broadsided by a delivery van.
Also killed in the accident at Roscoe Boulevard and Lindley Avenue was Maribel Reyes, 18, of Sepulveda, who was in the back seat of Salazar’s compact car.
The van’s driver was treated for minor injuries and released.
