Star Video Overtakes Nasib to Win by Head

Darrel McHargue kept Star Video close to the leaders in the early going and outran Nasib in a stretch duel to win the $43,800 The Spence Bay Stakes by a head Monday at Hollywood Park.
Nasib, ridden by Fernando Toro, finished two lengths in front of Grey Gauntlet, with Pat Valenzuela aboard, in the 1 1/16-mile turf race for 3-year-olds.
Carrying 115 pounds, Star Video was timed in 1:41 3/5 on a fast track. He won $24,900.
