People Express Inc. described the Terre Haute, Ind.-based Britt as one of the largest regional commuter carriers in the country with “an excellent record of consistent profitability over the past 17 years since it was founded.” Privately owned, Britt serves 29 Midwestern cities with operations at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport and Lambert International Airport in St. Louis.
