Conditions of Life in Haiti
I read your three-part series on Haiti with great interest but with increasing puzzlement. It seems to me that the basic cause of all Haiti’s ills was not addressed; namely, overpopulation.
No change in the political situation or ruling group will alter the fact that the island simply can’t support its population of 5 million.
Start a massive family-planning, contraception, sterilization program, cut the population down to 1.5 million and the place will become what nature intended it to be--a paradise.
