A Hanford man convicted of beating a referee at a high school basketball game was sentenced to 90 days in jail. The jail term of Ronnie Fagundes, 21, was stayed until Jan. 21 to determine whether he qualifies for work furlough. A jury convicted Fagundes of beating referee Clifford L. Irwin during a freshman game between traditional rivals Hanford and Lemoore high schools.
