Stu Inman, general manager of the Portland Trail Blazers, will step down “to pursue other opportunities in the National Basketball Assn.,” the Oregonian newspaper reported.
Inman, a coach at San Jose State from 1957 through 1966, has been with the Trail Blazers since their inception in 1970. It is believed that he will remain with the team through the end of January to help his successor, assistant coach Bucky Buckwalter.
