1st Business Bank, an independent bank serving mid-size companies, has opened a branch at the Gateway III business park, 970 West 190th St., Harbor Gateway. The South Bay branch opened with deposits of more than $12 million, according to a bank spokesman who added that 1st Business Bank opened in May, 1981, in Los Angeles and has grown to more than $200 million in assets in less than five years. The bank specializes in serving firms with annual sales of $5 million to $100 million.
