More than $127,000 in jewels and cash was stolen from a Thousand Oaks jewelry store, the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department said Thursday.
Precision Jewelry Design on Thousand Oaks Boulevard was burglarized Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning while the store was closed, Detective Bill Stovall said.
Stovall said investigators believe there was more than one burglar. The front door was pried open with a metal tool, wires to the store’s alarm system were cut and then the store was entered and holes were drilled in the safe, he said.
Rings, watches, necklaces and cash were taken, Stovall said.
Authorities have no suspects.
